Press Release I

AtomFest – October 18-20, 2007 – Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Ariel Atom is a marvel of minimalist construction in a street worthy and track capable sports car. The ability to achieve 0-60 times in 2.8 seconds and 1.37 G’s on the skid pad places it easily among the highest performing street cars. Equipped with track tires and additional performance equipment, the Atom is even more extreme.

The credibility of the US built version of the car has been enhanced by it’s first private owner, late-night television personality and extreme car guy, Jay Leno. Leno is said to have been instrumental in coordinating the use of supercharged GM Ecotec engines in the Atom. This effectively creates a friendly rivalry between owners of Honda and GM powered Atoms, which will be played out during AtomFest track events.

The US market has embraced the Atom to such an extent that, Brammo Motorsports, Inc. the Ashland, Oregon based North American manufacturer has doubled their production capacity since beginning to produce cars last year. Even so, the customer waiting list remains more than six months long.

Owners and enthusiasts of the Atom will gather together from around the globe this year to share their passion and enthusiasm for this amazing sports car.

America’s Quickest Production Car Gets Track Happy at AtomFest

AtomFest – October 18-20, 2007 – Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, nr. Tulsa, Oklahoma.

All the thrill of a superbike. All the handling of a race car. And all in one American-built vehicle that looks and goes like nothing else you’ve ever seen or experienced. The Ariel Atom inspires passion, enthusiasm and evangelism in anyone that has ever sat in one. And this Fall, there are going to be an awful lot of backsides from around the globe sitting in Atom seats. It’s the world’s largest gathering of Atoms, Atom owners and Atom enthusiasts – AtomFest.

Car guys like Jay Leno (the very first owner of a US built-Atom) have been hooked by the Atom bug – in fact, he was instrumental in coordinating the use of supercharged GM Ecotec engines in the Atom – as opposed to the original Hondas. This friendly rivalry between owners of Honda and GM powered Atoms will be played out during AtomFest track events.

Naked Excitement
The Ariel Atom is a marvel of minimalist construction with nothing extraneous detracting from raw performance. Straight out of the box, it hits 60mph in under 2.8 seconds and pulls 1.37 G’s on skid pads making it possibly the highest performing street car ever. Originally designed and built in the home of international motorsport, the UK, the US Atom is built by Brammo Motorsports, Inc. in Ashland, Oregon. Americans have embraced the Atom to such an extent that, despite Brammo doubling their production capacity, the customer waiting list is still more than six months long.
